At Just over half way through the winter competition the league tables are taking shape, things are quite close. Despite the reported increase in cod numbers anglers have been finding it hard to locate numbers of fish, although there does seem to be more around the 5 to 6 pound range, with the biggest fish so far being a cod of 8-8-5 falling to Richard Haxby.

Christmas Outing 2008

32 Anglers enjoyed the Filey Brigg Angling Society Christmas match and meal. A light easterly wind ensured most anglers had a fish-free day, but on form angler Phil Arliss continued his good run with 3 fish for 7 1/2 pound giving him top spot on the day..

The pairs knockout will commence on Monday 12th January 2009.
